At last, it is there: our cd "Emily Brontë". You can imagine after years of work we were in very joyful mood. So it became a real party, not only paying all songs of the album, but also some jigs. With thanks to the guest musicians: Marjolijn, Nick and Marc.

Live performance at "Tolkfolk", Bielawa, Poland
Now we know how it is to get a 'Star Treatment'. A perfectly organised festival, thanks to Elek and our personal assistent and interpreter, Marcin (or Opar). Unfortunately on the way back home we got stuck for five hours on Poznan railway station. We got our instruments and started to play. Not unlikely even that we've been on Polish television. For sure a clip can be seen on Youtube.

Live performance at "De Bruine Kip", Culemborg
Despite football and occasionally rain there was again an audience, some of them very attentive, some very noisy. There was Irish dancing, when we played some traditional jigs (play the clip).The sad thing is it was the last performance of Nick , our percussionist, with us.

On this special occasion, the celebration of the 50th birthday of a schoolfriend of our keyboardplayer, the 12 year old daughter of our host, Paulien, has sung with us a song by the Dutch band Within Temptation, called Memories.

Veronica and Ignace have visited the Oxonmoot.
Veronica has sung, on her own, with a cd, some of our songs. The next day she had the honour of being one of the people to take part in the ceremony by putting a wreath on Tolkien's grave.

This saturday Anois went shopping in Helmond. We were offered free clothing by the very nice Ronald and Marjan from the Fantasyshop Fairyland. We got some some new dresses for the women, medieval tunics, a black coat and some belts for the men.

Live performance at a private party in Castricum
Near the sea, in the loghouses of the scouts, crackling camp-fires, and a very enthusiastic public. It is flattering to hear that people especially want you on their party to play and to hear them asking themselves why you aren't in Carré (Dutch equivalent for the Albert or Carnegie Hall).

Live performance at the Celtic and Fantasy Festival Enkhuizen
This new leaf at the tree of celtic and fantasy festivals was well organized. We enjoyed the market (a lot us did actually buy something, be it cd's, clothes or sausages) and our fellow musicians. We did sell out our mini-cd with Bronte-songs.

Live performance at the fourth Schots-Veerse Festival
What is an Irish band doing on a Scottish Festival? Well, they are all Celts , aren't they?
Furthermore we have a Scottish theme in our repertoire.
It was our first performance in a church (a little one next to the big one in the photo below), which led to some difficulties with the resonance in the back of the church. But nevertheless the audience was very enthusiastic.

Live performance at the fifth lustrum of the Dutch Tolkien Society Unquendor
It was indeed a great honour and pleasure to play in the beautiful chapel of Kasteel De Berckt in Baarlo for such an international company of Tolkien-fans and specialists. Before the concert Wym gave a lecture about Tolkien-music with pictures and music fragments. And above all it brought us an invitation to play at the Oxonmoot of next year.

Live performances at the Elf Fantasy Fair.
Five gigs in two days under varying weather conditions. Some of us got cold fingers, but the sun did shine, as it should do, on sunday afternoon our second performance. For some of the Anois-members it was the first performance on an outdoor stage. We've enjoyed it very much. Besides a lot of people, we saw elves, dwarves, witches and orcs parade in front of our stage.

'Do your thing'
Performance and interview for television (RTV Utrecht). It takes a lot of work (make-up, soundcheck, run on trial of cameras, instructing the audience) for two minutes of music. In any case it was an interesting experience for us and for our audience (who we thank for their enthusiasm). Unfortunately to fit the format of the programm we had to amputate ' Elvenhymn'. We did four takes. The last one was the best in our opinion. Which one they will choose we' ll see/hear when the programme will be broadcast, on 20th april on RTV Utrecht, at 18.35.

This is how you should be treated as an artist: a filled fridge and lots of sandwiches. We only had to share the dressing-room with thirty Indian dancers, so we couldn't move our asses. But the sound on stage and in the theatre was very good.

That far from Utrecht we hadn't been yet (besides our concert in Brielle in 2001). But hey, Holland isn't that big. It was quite different for the audience, music for listening, used as they are to play along. But we got them quiet as a mouse. And afterwards they got their chance in a session, in which our dear harpist did participate, as the picture shows.

To make a change we played in a home for the aged, Verzorgingstehuis Tuindorp Oost. With a little bit less volume, our music proved to be very enjoyable for elderly people too. Some of them took great interest in our instruments. " What's that?"

For the third time we played in the Schiller Theater. It begins to feel like home. Now we know how Mozart must have felt (he played there too when visiting Utrecht). Probably this was one of our best performances.

Thanks everyone for attending our first concert with the new line-up! We enjoyed ourselves that evening and had a good feeling about it afterwards. We're still a bit shy onstage, but it's getting better. We were invited back by Steef, the owner of the Schiller theatre, so we will be glad to play there some time again, soon. Steef and his wife really are the kindest people you'd hope to meet; very warm and enthusiastic.
